Realm of Tyrth

Tyrth is a medieval fantasy world full of mythical creatures, gods, curses, and magic! This realm is an ongoing worldbuilding project with an active and friendly community, and is the home of my closed species known as fowldyr. Fowldyr are a peryton species that are able to take on a human form and have access to a wide array of magics. What are fowldyr?

Spiritual and emotional energy is abundant in Tyrth, and is known to attach itself to objects and locations where it condenses and grows more powerful over time. When enough energy is collected, a fowldyr is born! Fowldyr are ungulates that usually take the appearance of winged deer, but also have access to a humanoid form that they use to ingrain themselves into Tyrth society. The object that fowldyr awakened from is known as their vessel and effectively houses their soul. They are tethered to these objects, and are effectively immortal as long as the object remains intact. Because of this, a fowldyr can live for thousands of years and become legends in their own right.
